Write your own three-line guide for processes you only follow once a month

Nobody can reliably remember a process they follow quarterly. When a colleague walks you through expenses, a purchase order, or a holiday request, write your own plain-English version in OneNote as they explain it — the actual steps, the link to the form, any gotchas they mention. Next time you’ll have it in thirty seconds. Three lines you wrote yourself will serve you better than a twelve-page policy written for an auditor.
